About Parent-Help
Parent-Help is dedicated to supporting families by facilitating safe, structured, and positive interactions between children/adults and their non-resident parents or relatives. We are currently seeking experienced Contact Supervisors with a background in social work to oversee and document supervised contact sessions.
Role Overview:
As a Contact Supervisor, you will facilitate and oversee interactions between children/adults and their non-resident family members in Contact Centres and community settings. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising contact sessions, safeguarding the child’s well-being, and providing objective, evidence-based observation reports for assessments.
This role offers flexibility, allowing freelance workers to choose assignments based on availability. However, reliability and adaptability are key, as sessions are scheduled based on the needs of the families.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise child-parent contact sessions, ensuring safety and emotional well-being.

Maintain accurate and objective observation reports to contribute to court assessments.

Support positive relationships between children and their non-resident family members.

Identify and report any signs of harm, abuse, or emotional distress during contact sessions.

Conduct risk assessments before each session in line with safeguarding protocols.

Ensure all sessions are structured to provide a safe, supportive, and positive experience for children.

Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on best practices.
Requirements:

A valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Two professional references (one from your most recent employer).

Experience in social work or a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

Strong observational and report-writing skills.

Ability to remain neutral, professional, and supportive in emotionally charged situations.

Reliability, adaptability, and willingness to work in various locations.
